From Croquet Consortium

This meeting was lightly attended. Here is the agenda with a few comments. Please make any additions or corrections that are appropriate. I have to apologize that I didn't take any notes, so there is a lot missing here. daf

Agenda

1. Current work in-progress updates
   1. headless persistent router
   2. meta directory/worldbase, Mark has been working with Ruby On Rails on a metadirectory project at Duke, which could probably be easily reused for Croquet.
   3. others? Liz and Peter talked about router message recording and playback which will work with an animation project they may be able to release soon.
2. Roadmap discussion
   1. VNC integration? There is a new Consortium member group that is very interested in this area.
   2. general web-services/RESTful/CRUD style-access to remote services
3. How do we encourage a true open source project?
   1. When a change or refactoring is suggested or offered, how do we say "yes, we're already including your fix" or "no, and here's why". Otherwise the "fix it yourself" motto turns into "fork it yourself" - Darius Clarke
   2. Discussion was again tabled to next week.
